Lionel Messi’s celebration after Sergi Roberto’s winner v PSG is incredible

For once, Lionel Messi wasn’t the Barcelona player who dominated the post-match headlines following his side’s remarkable 6-1 victory over Champions League on Wednesday night.

It might be a cliche but Barça had 13 heroes out on the Camp Nou pitch – the 11 who started plus substitutes Sergi Roberto and Andre Gomes – this was a true team effort and a match that those who witnessed it will never, ever forget.

Messi was understood to have been fuming after Barcelona’s 4-0 embarrassing defeat at the Parc des Princes three weeks ago. Embarrassed and humiliated, too. But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and his teammates secured the most dramatic comeback in Champions League history during the second leg.

Luis Suarez scored after just three minutes before Barcelona’s advantage on the night was doubled by a Layvin Kurzawa own goal.

Messi then banged in a penalty in the 50th minute, but the tie appeared to be over shortly afterwards when Cavani netted an away goal for the Parisians
